.NO is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Norway. It was introduced in 1983 and is nowadays managed by Norid.

It's very popular in Norway and as of August 2017 has over 730 000 registrations in total.

.NO domain names can only be registered by organizations based in Norway or Norwegian citizens who are over 18 years old and have an address in Norway.

Organizations registered in Norway are limited to a maximum of 100 .NO domain names and individuals to a maximum of 5 domains per individual.

When you submit the order, you will be required to sign an application form. You will be provided a link to a page where you can sign the form using BankID (Norwegian digital identity confirmation protocol).

To initiate the transfer of an .NO domain, you will need to obtain the so-called EPP / Authorisation code from your current domain registrar and provide this while ordering the transfer.

The domain transfer is free, because it does not contain a domain name renewal.

If your .NO domain does not have a registrar at the moment, you are instructed to enter reg0 as the Authorisation code. This will initiate a manual transfer process.
